Despite dominating the game with 40 shots against Blugolds’ 20, the Gophers only managed to put one puck in the net resulting in a final score of 1-2.

Golden Gophers’ #9 Keegan Johnson was the lone scorer for the team, while Blugolds’ #3 Ezra Lindstrom scored both goals for his team. The Gophers’ goalie, Owen Peterson, made 18 saves out of 20 shots, while Blugolds’ Kaleb Bents impressively saved 39 out of 40 shots.

The Gophers had two powerplay opportunities but failed to capitalize on either. The Blugolds, on the other hand, had three powerplay chances but also couldn’t convert any into goals.

The Gophers will look to bounce back from this defeat in their next game against Bethel University on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 pm CDT at the TCO Sports Garden. Despite this setback, the team remains confident in their ability to recover and come back stronger.
