In a thrilling match at the Ridder Arena on October 25th, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers emerged victorious over the University of Saint Thomas Tommies with a remarkable 4-0 win. Despite the Tommies having 33 shots, compared to the Gophers’ 18, they were unable to secure a single goal.
The Golden Gophers’ goalie, Owen Peterson, delivered an outstanding performance, saving all of the 33 shots taken by the Tommies. On the other hand, Matthew Perreault, the Tommies’ goalie, managed to save only 14 out of 18 shots.
The highlight of the game was undoubtedly Jackson Kuznik of the Golden Gophers, who scored two impressive goals. In contrast, the Tommies’ Hudson Hatfield received 2 penalty minutes, adding to their struggle throughout the game.
Neither team was successful in their powerplay attempts, with the Tommies going 0/1 and the Golden Gophers 0/2.
