The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team came out on top in a thrilling match against the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks, with a final score of 4-1. The game, which took place at the 3M Arena at Mariucci on Saturday, October 12, 2024, showcased the Golden Gophers’ skill and determination on the ice.
The Golden Gophers dominated the game with an impressive 47 shots on goal, compared to the Fighting Hawks’ 20 shots. Despite the Fighting Hawks’ efforts, their powerplay was unable to capitalize on opportunities, going 0/6, while the Golden Gophers’ powerplay also struggled, going 0/4.
In the net, Fighting Hawks goalie Brock Burm faced a barrage of shots, making an impressive 43 saves out of 46 shots. On the other end, Golden Gophers’ Jack Mlodozyniec stood tall, making 19 saves out of 20 shots to secure the win for his team.
