The MD2 University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team had a tough game against the MD2 Lindenwood University Lions on Saturday, September 30th at the Centene Community Ice Center. The Lions came out on top with a final score of 5-1. The Golden Gophers had 21 shots on goal while the Lions had 51 shots on goal. Both teams were unable to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities with the Golden Gophers going 0/3 and the Lions going 0/4.

Golden Gophers goalie Zach Walker had an impressive performance with 50 shots on goal and 20 saves. Lions goalie Justin Grenon also had a good game with 21 shots on goal and 20 saves. The only goal of the game for the Golden Gophers came from #6 Henry Lawrence. Lions #21 Samuel Watson had 2 assists in the game.

The Golden Gophers will look to bounce back from this loss and will have a chance to do so in their next game. They will need to come out strong and capitalize on their chances if they want to come out on top.
