The MD2 University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team faced off against the MD2 University of Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles in a hard-fought battle on Friday night at the Crookston Sports Center.

The Golden Gophers had a total of 49 shots on goal, while the Golden Eagles had 55. The Gophers power play was 0/4, while the Eagles power play was 1/5.

In the end, the Golden Eagles came out on top with a 4-3 victory in overtime. The Gophers’ goalie Owen Peterson had an impressive performance, stopping 46 out of the 55 shots he faced. The Golden Eagles’ goalie Wyatt Olsonawski also had a great game, stopping 46 out of the 49 shots he faced.

For the Golden Gophers, Devin Huie scored the lone goal. For the Golden Eagles, Mitchell Coleman scored their first goal of the night.
