The MD2 University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team had a hard-fought game against the MD2 University of Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles that ended in a 5-4 overtime loss. The Golden Gophers had 34 shots on goal, while the Golden Eagles had 35 shots on goal. Both teams had powerplay opportunities, with the Golden Gophers going 1-for-5 and the Golden Eagles going 1-for-4.
