The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team put on a dominating performance as they cruised to a 12-1 victory over the Saint Cloud State University Huskies at 3M Arena at Mariucci on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The Golden Gophers came out firing on all cylinders, outshooting the Huskies 57-31 throughout the game. Despite the Huskies’ efforts, they were unable to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, going 0/0, while the Golden Gophers also went 0/0 on the powerplay.

In the net, Huskies goalie Brayden Mackie faced 31 shots and made 23 saves, while Golden Gophers’ Owen Peterson stopped 20 out of 21 shots he faced.

It was a night of standout performances for the Golden Gophers, with #17 Ben Murray leading the charge with two goals to his name. On the Huskies’ side, #16 Noah Bissett managed to find the back of the net for their lone goal of the game.
